The City of Monroe is now hiring for a 911 Dispatcher.

WHAT WE OFFER:

Starting Pay: $25.69/hour Based on Experience
Comprehensive benefit package including a generous HSA Contribution $1,800/$3,600
Vacation - 80 hours starting
Sick Time - 120 hours annually
Personal Time - 16 hours annually

SCHEDULE:

8 hour shifts, including evenings, overnight, holidays and weekends.
Upon completion of initial training, new dispatchers will be assigned to a shift with set days off.

HIRING PROCESS:

The hiring process will consist of a civil service exam being held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 9 am at the Monroe Police Department located at 601 S Main Street, Monroe, 45050. A valid picture ID is required for entry into the examination.
Successful candidates must obtain a score of 70% or higher to be placed on the eligibility list.
Candidates receiving a conditional offer will be subject to additional testing, including a background investigation, CVSA, drug test and psychological assessment.
The hiring process can take up to 6 months to complete. The timeline is subject to change. Applicants can reapply up to 3 times for the same position.
