Air Quality and Climate Change Specialist Location: Northern or Southern CA As an Air Quality and Climate Change Specialist, you will lead air quality and greenhouse gas emissions inventory development, health risk assessments, photochemical and dispersion modeling, environmental impact analysis, climate action planning, and report preparation for air quality and climate change projects within ICF’s Environmental Planning practice. The starting pay range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000, depending on qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and location. Key Responsibilities Lead impact analyses for land use development, infrastructure, and roadway projects Quantify emissions, pollutant concentrations, and health risks using models and spreadsheets Research and interpret relevant air quality and climate legislation and policies Solve complex quantitative and qualitative problems Engage with public and private sector clients Support development of climate action plans for local governments Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or related Earth Sciences, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Atmospheric Science/Meteorology, Chemistry, Physics, or similar At least 3 years of experience in air quality and GHG impact analyses under CEQA/NEPA Valid driver's license and successful MVR check Additional Skills Experience with air quality models (EMFAC, CT-EMFAC, CalEEMod, CALINE-4, OFFROAD, MOVES), dispersion models (AERMOD, HARP), meteorological models (e.g., WRF) Understanding of relevant environmental policies and regulations (CEQA, NEPA, SB 32, Clean Air Act) Ability to independently conduct technical analyses and prepare reports Strong quantitative and modeling skills, proficiency in MS Excel Excellent prioritization, multitasking, and deadline management skills Effective communication with all levels of staff, clients, and vendors Strong business ethics and confidentiality awareness Working at ICF ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider that combines expertise and technology to solve complex challenges.
