Summary

The Growing Tree is seeking a Full and Part-Time Teacher! We are a Center-based childcare and preschool that serves children aged 32 months through 5 years. We are currently working to expand our programming to offer a toddler room. We are hiring for a Preschool Teacher.

Duties

• Know and follow CDD Child Care Licensing Regulations
• Being responsible for the care and supervision of children.
• Planning, preparing, and implementing a curriculum that aligns with the Vermont Early Learning Standards/TSG 
• Maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
• Healthy classroom management skills.
• Develop positive relationships with children, co-workers, families, and external personnel. 

Requirements

Have or be in the process of obtaining:

• A minumum of 12-21 Credits in Early Childhood Education
• At least an associate’s degree in the Early Childhood Education Field, OR
• Childcare Development Specialist Certificate (Vermont Childcare Apprenticeship Program), OR, 
• A Child Development Associate credential (CDA), OR

And

• Must pass a criminal background check & fingerprinting through the VT Child Care Development Division
• Infant/Child First Aid & CPR Certified (or willing to take within 3 months of hiring)
• Completed Vermont Orientation, Mandated Reporter, and Medication Administration training.
• Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs at any given time
• Must be able to play and move around with children in all settings throughout the entire day
• Must be comfortable and prepared/dressed to go outside with children in all Vermont seasons & weather
