About Us
Reflex Performance Resources Inc., a leader in activewear and athleisure, is seeking an experienced Fashion Designer – Men’s Activewear to join our New York City design studio. This is a full-time, in-office position where you will collaborate directly with our Design Director to shape innovative and trend-driven men’s activewear collections across our multi-brand portfolio.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate is a seasoned designer with deep expertise in men’s apparel, a sharp eye for trends, and the technical knowledge to bring concepts from sketch to production. You will research, design, and develop full seasonal collections, ensuring alignment with our brand identity and merchandising strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Research emerging trends in men’s activewear, including fabrics, trims, embellishments, prints, and graphics.
Develop seasonal collections through CADs, mood/trend boards, and detailed tech packs.
Design innovative, functional, and on-brand men’s activewear styles across multiple brands/accounts.
Collaborate with Product Development and Technical teams to ensure accurate fit, fabric, and construction details.
Produce effective design tools including presentation boards, line sheets, and color cards.
Accurately scale graphics and textiles for design execution.
Partner with overseas vendors to ensure design integrity through production.
Contribute to cross-functional collaboration to meet deadlines and seasonal calendars.
Qualifications
7+ years of apparel design experience, with 5+ years focused on men’s apparel (activewear or performance preferred).
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop on Mac.
Strong knowledge of apparel construction, trims, fabrics, and technical details.
Experience developing detailed tech packs and collaborating with overseas vendors.
Proven ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Knowledge of print/graphic design is a plus.
