Job Description: Consistently and safely operate machines at or above standard levels of operation, including waste, quality, efficiency, and utilization Troubleshoot, identify, and correct machine-related problems through proper adjustments Provide innovative solutions for production issues Support and guide less experienced personnel Complete end-of-shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities Inspect and recognize defective products and adjust machines accordingly Observe housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and effective communication (written and verbal) Qualifications: 1+ years' experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including every other weekend Punctuality and preparedness for shifts Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with Extrusion Machines Excellent communication and detailed record-keeping skills Analytical and math skills Ability to perform quality checks and understand production measurement tools Knowledge of product quality standards Comfortable wearing PPE such as hairnets, beard nets, steel-toed shoes/boots, ear protection, and bump caps when required Manual dexterity About Pactiv Evergreen Pactiv Evergreen is now part of Novolex, a leading manufacturer of food, beverage, and specialty packaging supporting various industries.
