No Offer Description At the University of Greifswald’s Institute of Psychology, Professorship for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences), there is a permanent part-time (50%) position as a (Postdoctoral) Teaching and Research Associate that is to be filled at the earliest possible date , subject to budgetary regulations.Payment will be made according to pay grade 13 TV-L Wissenschaft. The licensing regulations for psychotherapists (PsychThApprO), adopted by the Bundesrat on 14 February 2020, requires training institutions to teach scientifically recognised therapeutic procedures and methods. This expansion of the scope of training necessitates the addition of staff to the Professorships for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, particularly in guideline procedures (“Richtlinienverfahren”) beyond behavioural therapy. The University of Greifswald strives to ensure that students gain in-depth expertise in the quality and diversity of psychotherapy and therefore the required new forms of teaching and examination (especially practice-oriented and patient-oriented teaching) will cover the diversity of procedures. Accordingly, we are seeking a candidate from the field of clinical psychology and psychotherapy who is licensed as a Psychological Psychotherapist with expertise in psychodynamic psychotherapy, analytical psychotherapy, or systemic psychotherapy, or who is at an advanced stage of training in one of these approaches. The professorship’s mission is to combine research, teaching, and practice (realised at the Center for Psychological Psychotherapy, ZPP). All three areas focus on personalised psychotherapy research (particularly for patients with depressive disorders) as well as psychological support in the context of current crises (cf. initiative “Together for Mental Health”, GPG, Third Mission Engagement, psychologie.uni-greifswald.de/gemeinsam/). Teaching and research are closely coordinated with the Professorship for Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology and Psychotherapy and the University’s Outpatient Clinic for Children and Adolescents (ZPKJ). Teaching in the polyvalent bachelor’s degree course and the new master’s degree course in Psychology with a focus on clinical psychology and psychotherapy, particularly patient-oriented teaching in the respective guideline procedure (6 contact hours per week) Organisational support in establishing the respective guideline procedure at the outpatient clinic for teaching and research that belongs to the ZPP Supervision of bachelor’s and master’s dissertations Preparation of grant applications and publishing of research findings Development of (inter)national research collaborations Job requirements Completed university degree in psychology (master’s or equivalent), by the time employment starts Licensure as a Psychological Psychotherapist with expertise in psychodynamic psychotherapy, analytical psychotherapy, or systemic psychotherapy (completed or within 6 months of completion) Completed or nearly completed doctorate in psychology, preferably in clinical psychology and psychotherapy Excellent knowledge and proven teaching experience in the above-mentioned clinical-psychotherapeutic fields Strong teaching skills and commitment to teaching (proven, for example, by very good teaching evaluations) Demonstrated interest in the development and implementation of the new psychotherapy master’s degree course, with particular emphasis on teaching methodological diversity Interest in the personalised psychotherapy research programme and third mission projects outlined above Openness to methodological diversity, with demonstrated expertise in teaching and practising the own favoured guideline procedure and its modern developments Ability to establish an internationally visible research profile, publications in reputable journals, and willingness to secure external funding Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team Expertise in the further development of psychotherapy methods and approaches Recognition as a supervisor and group therapist Experience in psychotherapy research or strong willingness to engage in this field What we offer A dynamic and respectful working atmosphere in the scientific and therapeutic team of the professorship at the renowned University of Greifswald Innovative opportunities for psychotherapy research through the Psychotherapy Lab (especially GPNS, including the possibilities of process research, video analyses, and big data analyses) at the research outpatient clinic of the ZPP Excellent teaching facilities provided by the ZPP, including access to the Psychotherapy Lab Focus on methodological diversity and across all stages of life Collaboration with renowned university hospitals (including within a DFG-funded clinical trial programme), psychosomatic clinics, and national and international partners Support in acquiring additional psychotherapeutic qualifications (e.g. certification in modern therapeutic approaches, supervisor training) Recognition and support for third mission activities, particularly within the GPG initiative A family-friendly university in the 'Best of Northern Germany' located near the Baltic Sea, with Berlin and Hamburg within easy reach Additional Information This position is open to all applicants, irrespective of gender.
