Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Direct Mail Print Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our in-house digital print facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with digital printing equipment, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage workflow, meet tight deadlines, and maintain exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily print production operations including printing, finishing, inserting, and mailing.
• Supervise a team of support staff.
• Operate and maintain high-volume digital printers and mail equipment.
• Coordinate schedules to ensure timely completion of direct mail projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to verify print files and ensure data accuracy for variable printing jobs.
• Ensure compliance with USPS regulations and optimize postal preparation processes.
• Perform quality checks throughout production to meet branding and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory and order print materials and supplies as needed.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and coordinate service on print and mail equipment.

• Analyze workflow and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain accurate records of production, materials usage, and job status.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in digital print production or direct mail operations.
• Proficiency with digital print and mail systems; knowledge of RIP software and workflow tools (e.g., Fiery, EFI).
• Familiarity with variable data printing and data processing software.
• Strong understanding of USPS guidelines and mail prep requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
