Under general supervision, performs a variety of technical?clerical work preparing and maintaining computer databases pertaining to student attendance and demographic statistics in an assigned elementary school. Utilizes specialized computer?driven file maintenance, word processing, and spreadsheet programs that are part of the student information system to develop and maintain records of student attendance, class schedules, grades, immunizations, and more, and to generate federal, state, and local reports. Reviews forms and handwritten information, entering data into proper computer files.
Employee is also responsible for troubleshooting errors or other operational problems with computers and peripheral equipment, installing software, preparing various correspondence and forms, answering telephones and assisting visitors, and general clerical tasks. Reports to a Principal or Assistant Principal.
Graduation from high school and 12 years of experience in clerical work involving use of computer?driven word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Physical Requirements: Use of office equipment, light lifting, standing and walking for extended periods (Light Work).
Data Conception: Ability to compare and judge data characteristics.
Interpersonal Communication: Effective verbal and written communication.
Language Ability: Read and prepare correspondence and reports.
Intelligence, Verbal Aptitude, Numerical Aptitude, Form/Spatial Aptitude, Motor Coordination, Manual Dexterity, Color Discrimination, Interpersonal Temperament, Physical Communication: Various abilities required for accurate and efficient data entry and communication.
Full?time for twelve months.
Salary: Grade 61.
