NOW CFO is searching for Senior Controller leadership for our busy consulting team in Phoenix, AZ. Help businesses achieve goals by using your finely tuned technical skills and knowledge of GAAP. Always mitigating risk and maximizing profit. Confident, resourceful leaders will roll up their sleeves to solve problems and advise stakeholders. Hands-on accounting experience gives Senior Controllers wisdom beyond the numbers.

We are a busy team of talented consultants, working collaboratively to deliver accounting solutions for clients in the Phoenix area. Our talented full-time sales team generates on-going engagements in the Phoenix region, so that consultants can focus on accounting.

Examples of Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, GL, payroll, and financial reporting
• Manage cost-related functions such as job costing, WIP, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes while maintaining standardized systems and controls
• Ensure compliance with audits, federal/state regulations, and internal control frameworks
• Develop budgets, metrics, and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making
• Lead, develop, and guide accounting staff while driving process improvements and organizational change

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or finance with strong GAAP proficiency
• Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams or departments
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and financial insight abilities
• High proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
