Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with ICU background for a night shift ICU position at a medical telemetry unit, requiring active NJ or compact RN licensure.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in an ICU setting within a medical telemetry unit
• Shift schedule is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Patient population includes pediatric through geriatric patients
• Uses Epic EMR system for charting
• Potential floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• Responsibilities include thorough patient assessments, direct care, and safe transfer techniques
• Requires comprehensive knowledge of growth and development from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Expected to maintain accurate and thorough documentation per professional guidelines
• Must provide patient education and perioperative assessment as needed
• Requirement to follow safety goals and universal protocols
• Scrub or dress code requirements not specified
• Holiday coverage may be expected according to unit needs
• Assignment duration is up to one calendar year from initial start date, with a mandatory 30-60 day break before returning for a new assignment
• First-time travelers accepted, provided all requirements are met

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no locals)
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
