Midwest Compressor Systems is seeking a skilled and experienced Welding Supervisor to lead our fabrication team. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality welding operations that meet ASME standards while fostering a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate daily welding and fabrication operations.
- Ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, and API codes.
- Review and enforce Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Inspect welds and coordinate with QA/QC for NDT and documentation.
- Train and evaluate welders on techniques, safety, and code requirements.
- Promote and enforce OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities and certifications.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve production issues and improve processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of welding and supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and ASME codes.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and documentation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass MVR, background check, and drug screen.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
