Dozer Operator (D8/D9)

The Dozer Operator will be responsible for operating a D8/D9 dozer to efficiently and effectively construct embankment and fill areas on a project. Must be willing to travel in state and out of state.

This position may include day or night shift work, travel, overtime, and weekend work.

Primary duties include:

• Safe and efficient operation of D8 and D9 dozers to meet production targets
• Conduct pre-trip/post-trip walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
• Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
• Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
• Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
• Safety, safety, safety comply with all OSHA and company policies, procedures, and standards of safety
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements include:

• 5 years of earth moving experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Willing to travel in state and out of state
• Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy
• OSHA certification or willingness to obtain certification - company will pay for certification
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to follow and enforce safe work practices
• Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision
• Extended out-of-town travel, night shift, and/or weekend work may be required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
