Industrial Designer Job Summary: Talent Software Services is seeking an Industrial Designer for a contract position in Mason, OH. This opportunity is for seven months with a strong chance for long-term extension. Primary Responsibilities / Accountabilities Industrial designers are focused on delighting consumers and driving innovation by creating extraordinary systems, services, products, and package solutions. This role will partner with technical, business and brand experts across multiple design disciplines, including graphic, industrial, innovation, digital, fashion and more, to balance consumer needs with technical constraints and manufacturing processes. Whether it's aiding in refreshing a brand, crafting a new 3D shape for an iconic brand, or designing a new app, design is at the heart of meeting the needs of today’s consumers. Qualifications Acute visual sense of colour. (Be able to achieve a "Superior" score on the Munsell Hue Discrimination Test) Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills for documentation. A passion with the skills to facilitate collaboration. Collaborate with designers to understand the aligned design intent. Driver's License and transportation between the local vendor, Cincinnati General Offices (Downtown) and the Mason Business Centre. Fluent in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel for the purposes of documentation. The ability to provide articulate, actionable feedback in relation to color development, which could stretch into technical feedback. Positive approach to problem solving (timing, technical problem, gaining alignment). Preferred Integrated knowledge of colour science and material science (how colourants work in plastic and the moulding process). Industrial Design, creative, problem-solving, manufacturing knowledge, leadership, written and oral communication skills, collaboration, project management, agility, software proficiency, CAD software experience.
