Job Description

Blend is a diverse team of problem solvers who believe that the world’s financial resources should be more accessible. Our cloud banking platform is used by Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, and over 330 other financial services firms to acquire more customers, increase productivity, and deliver end-to-end digital experiences. Our software enables our customers to process an average of more than $5 billion in loans per day, making it possible for consumers to reach their financial goals faster and lead better lives. Come do work that matters.

As a Software Engineer on the Documents & Delivery team, you'll play a vital role in building and enhancing the core systems that enable seamless and secure signing, review, and archival of critical financial documents. Your code will directly impact how millions of consumers interact with their financial products, ensuring regulatory adherence, data integrity, and a best-in-class user experience.

Our team is focused on building robust and scalable solutions for eSignature workflows, document review capabilities, and the underlying infrastructure for compliance, audit trails, and permissioning. You'll work on challenging technical problems, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to a platform that's critical to the financial industry.

How you'll contribute:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software for Blend's document and delivery platform.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Typescript that adheres to best practices and coding standards.

  • Collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements, break down complex problems, and deliver impactful solutions.

  • Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality and foster continuous learning.

  • Debug and troubleshoot issues across our services and contribute to improving system reliability and performance.

  • Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and best practices in software development.

  • Contribute to the operational excellence of our services, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.

  • Help ensure that our document systems meet stringent regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., audit trails, data integrity, security).

Who you are:

  • 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.

  • Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby).

  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Bonus Points!

  • Experience with web technologies (e.g., REST APIs, microservices, databases) and/or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Experience working with Typescript and Node.js

  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile.

  • Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
